Chaos & Order...

I think there's a perception sometimes that as photographers we can get so caught up in the capturing the moment that we end up missing the real experience. And yet every time I pull out the camera it's as if my brain switches into a mode that is sharper, more observant and more receptive to all of the beauty in our natural environment. It's as if the camera helps me slow down and really see things and really appreciate those fleeting moments. Amongst the chaos of nature, amongst creation and growth and destruction there is order and symmetry and beauty and the playful coming together of all of those forces shaped by a rising and a setting sun. It's always there, like a little gift from the universe, waiting to be discovered.
